Meet Erica

Erica Givens Glasgow is the founding member of the firm and an experienced attorney and mediator. She believes that alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can transform the way that parties view conflict and expand the available options for resolving issues.  Given this perspective, Erica’s practice is primarily devoted to offering mediation services.

Prior to launching The Givens Law Firm, Erica’s diverse legal career led her to serve as regulatory compliance counsel (advertising and marketing) for a prominent television retailer, mortgage foreclosure counsel for several lenders and servicers, and Assistant State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit.

In recent years,  Erica served as a contract advertising attorney for one of the nation’s largest wireless telephone carriers. Before practicing law, Erica taught special needs students in North Central and Southwest Florida’s public schools. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, reading, and traveling.

Erica completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she majored in history and telecommunications. She then attended Georgia College & State University, where she received a master’s degree in public administration. Erica returned to Florida to obtain her law degree from Stetson University College of Law and completed her mediation training at the University of South Florida and through other training programs certified by the Florida Supreme Court.

Erica is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil, County, and Family Mediator.  She is also a Georgia Registered Neutral for circuit civil matters.

Erica Givens Glasgow is licensed to practice law in Florida. Mediation services are offered statewide in Florida and the Metro Atlanta area in Georgia.
